1200 Fan Giveaway

Facebook has a policy on giveaways that makes doing them on fan pages nearly impossible. I’ve done them on my page in the past, but Facebook is cracking down on the policy and is deleting pages who they catch hosting giveaways. To prevent this from happening, my giveaways will be here from now on.

This giveaway is for a Water Relief Treatment Serum from Arbonne. This product is fantastic to get rid of swelling from injuries, water retention, etc. It retails for $40, but one lucky winner will receive it for free.

To enter the giveaway, post a comment on this blog post with what interests you most about Arbonne or with a question that you’d like answered. Your comments may not show up immediately as they have to be manually approved to keep spam comments off the blog. I will leave the giveaway open until Sunday at midnight.

The winner is Janet Jackson. Janet, please email me your address at megancurtis@myarbonne.com

Wende Shull Sampson What sets Arbonne apart from all the other skin care professionals out there, for example, Mary Kay?
Our ingredients and our heritage. Arbonne is a product that first was developed in Switzerland and our Research and Development Lab is still there. We adhere to the European Standards for the beauty industry, which are much higher than those set forth by the FDA in the US. We also don’t used petroleum based ingredients (from crude oil), parabens, pthalates, PABA, formaldehyde-donating preservatives, or any animal products or by-products. (Certified Vegan). The problem with many other companies are the ingredients that they use. Their products are less effective and many of the ingredients are known carcinogens or cause other health issues. They are able to use these because the FDA hasn’t banned them. The European Union has banned 1000′s of chemicals, while the US has banned about 8 for beauty products. They continue to use these ingredients because they are cheaper, and it makes their products cheaper, but they are also of lesser quality. Here is a chart that ranks beauty companies.

Sarah Houston this looks so perfect, there has to be a catch.my question is: is there a catch? please be honest 🙂
The only catch is that you get what you put into it. It is work and those who work hard are going to see the rewards. Those who sign up and then don’t do anything, obviously aren’t working at it. But for those who jump in and are coachable and ready to make things happen, it is such a blessing. The time freedom is amazing, and the financial rewards are as well. The only things that get in the way are fear and laziness. If people are willing to work through those, they can be successful.

Hallonia Smith From the very beginning of this video I saw that a MAN actually came up with Arbonne…Is there any reason why he did it? Maybe a person who inspired him? I just thought it was weird that a man would make beauty products for women. =)
I’m not sure who his inspiration was, but he wanted to create safe products for women, and he loved the US. He and his family were from Norway, but he so strongly believed in the freedoms in the US that he started his business there. Since then, Arbonne has spread to Canada, Australia, and the UK. His wife attended our 2010 conference in celebration of our 30 Year Anniversary and it was amazing to hear from her.

Jenn Walker It seems to good to be true, does it really work?
I’m going to copy the answer I gave Sarah, because her question was similar. I’m also going to add that Arbonne has 31 years experience and has so many programs to reward their consultants and make them successful. We’re a different culture than a lot of the companies that are out there today.

Morgan Rayl I know Arbonne has baby products, Do they carry a man’s line?
Yes, we have a men’s skin care line, plus many products that are great for men or women. Arbonne also has a nutrition line, spa line, aromatherapy line, and so much more. You can view products at http://www.megancurtis.myarbonne.com by clicking on Shop Online.

Crystal Merkle Looks like people is living it up selling this product. It looks like a huge company, but I have to say I’ve never heard of it.. Approx. how many people are involved with this company??
I’m not sure the number of consultants that are with Arbonne. We have a lot of Consultants and a lot of Preferred Clients (Discount Buying Program). In the US, we have around 420 consultants at the National Vice President level, 730 at the Regional Vice President Level, 2300 at the Area Manager level, and 7700 at the District Manager level. This doesn’t include consultants who haven’t promoted to a manager level yet. We have been around since 1980, but still only have a 1% recognition rate in the US. We sell an average of $500 million each year even with that low recognition rate.We are getting ready to go to $2 billion a year by 2015. 🙂

Paige Kelley Is it possible to support yourself selling Arbonne or do you need another income? And do you use their products personally? I feel you can better recommend what you use yourself daily 🙂 Thanks!
Yes, Arbonne is my full time income. My husband works as well, but in the next couple years we are looking for him to retire. When someone signs up as a consultant, our goal is to help them promote to District Manager in their first 3 months. At District, the average is from $250/month up to $1500/month. Then we work on going to Area, which is $1500 – $4500 a month average. Yes, these are the only products that we use in our home. We use the nutrition line daily as well as the vitamins and supplements. In our shower, everything is Arbonne…shampoo, conditioner, soap, face wash, sea salt scrubs, shave gel, and more. We don’t use any other company. If Arbonne provides it, we use it. When Arbonne doesn’t have a product, such as deodorant, we shop in a store, but are very picky about what we use. We avoid all of the things that Arbonne does not use, such as parabens, mineral oil, formaldehyde-donating preservatives, etc.

Amanda Paige Noack What is your favorite product? And more info on the baby line would be great! Thanks
This is by far the toughest question. lol. For me, I would say my RE9 Advanced Skin Care Set, but if I have to pick just one product in the set it would be the Smoothing Facial Cleanser. Without it my face breaks out like crazy. For my husband, his pick is the Joint Supplement because he works with his hands daily and they ache if he doesn’t take his joint supplement. My pick for him would be the Omega-3 supplement because his family has a history of high cholesterol.
We have 5 baby products. Diaper Rash Creme, Baby Oil, Baby Sunscreen, Baby Shampoo/Wash, and Baby Lotion. Arbonne’s Baby Care line is extremely gentle and adheres to all of our ingredient policies. It doesn’t contain any mineral oil or any preservatives that release formaldehyde. It is also very effective. The majority of main stream products for babies really aren’t safe. I posted this article the other day. It talks about some of the chemicals that were found in baby care off the shelves of stores. The chemicals found in these products can cause skin conditions, cancer, and many other health problems. Here is the article: http://consumerist.com/2009/03/baby-products-now-with-formaldehyde.html

Nicole Dilley Do they carry mens products?
Yes, we have a men’s skin care line, plus many products that are great for men or women. Arbonne also has a nutrition line, spa line, aromatherapy line, and so much more. You can view products at http://www.megancurtis.myarbonne.com by clicking on Shop Online.

Mary Mcmenamy do you carry bath products talcs
We don’t have talcs, but we do carry soaps, lotions, bath salts, and scrubs, as well as hair products. You can view products at http://www.megancurtis.myarbonne.com by clicking on Shop Online.

Belinda Banks-Gresham why is it so expensive?
Because of the ingredients we use. They are more expensive than the ingredients that are harmful for you, such as mineral oil, parabens, etc. We don’t use any fillers, which makes the products extremely concentrated. What that means is they last longer. On average, the RE9 Advanced line lasts 5-7 months. Generally the eye creme and toner run out first in month 5, and then the others start to run out in months 6/7. So, although it is more upfront, it lasts longer than most of what you’d buy in a store or from other companies.

Michelle Kennon Do you carry items for sensitive skin
Yes, all of our products are formulated for sensitive skin. I have extremely sensitive skin and the only products that I notice a slight reaction with are the RE9 Serum and the SeaSource Mud Mask. The serum just makes my face red for about 30 mins, but that is because it is designed to break down the “bonds” that are holding the dead skin to your fresh skin underneath. The mud mask is a thermal mask, so it warms up. Sometimes this irritates my skin a bit and other times I don’t notice it at all. We have over 500 products though, and these are the only 2 that I’ve noticed any reaction to.

Michael Sweeny What makes your baby products more safe/effective then others? My little girl is my life so why shou dI trust your product inplace of another?
Arbonne asks that consultants not say anything that is demeaning towards other companies, so I am going to be respectful of that and word this as kindly as I can. Arbonne’s Baby Care line is extremely gentle and adheres to all of our ingredient policies. It doesn’t contain any mineral oil or any preservatives that release formaldehyde. It is also very effective. As far as comparing it to other products, take a minute to read this article and draw your own conclusions. :) http://consumerist.com/2009/03/baby-products-now-with-formaldehyde.html

Sarah Houston how long does it take to be successful in that business?i have a 18 months old son, jason, and i would love to do something from home.that way i can make money AND spend time with my son and i dont have to put him in daycare
It depends on the person. I’ve had some consultants who jump in and really take off and others who go at a slower pace. It really depends on what each person is wanting and looking for. Arbonne has a program that they introduced back in September that takes new consultants from Start to District Manager level in 3 months if they choose to follow the plan. Arbonne gives $700 in free product to consultants that “graduate” the program. As a District Manager, the average pay is between $250 and $1500 a month.

Angela Phillips how long has arbonne been in business?
31 years. 🙂

Tya Claudia Wilson wondering if Arbonne is safe for expecting/nursing mom?
Our skincare, cosmetics, etc are. You would want to consult with your doctor before using any of the nutrition products, just to be on the safe side. Arbonne provides full ingredient lists for all of their products, which makes it easy to print them off and take in to the doctor.

Penny Haywood Pierce How much is the inital investment to get started?
The starter kit is $109. Some people will sign up and get their kit and then begin taking orders. Others who are on a strict budget will start collecting orders to pay for the starter kit.Basically, we collect orders to pay for your sign up. When a new consultant signs up, Arbonne lets them purchase $350 in product and then pick out $350 in free product. This is optional, but most people use it because it lets them get $700 in product at 50% off instead of the normal 35%. Some people will sell $350 and choose $350 in free product for themselves. What I do with new consultants who aren’t wanting the $109 to come out of their pocket, is have them sell $700 in product and then place it under that special order. They end up with around $350 profit. They use $109 to pay for the sign up fee and can keep the rest or use it to place an order for themselves. :) Hope that makes sense. I have a new consultant in Alaska that we are doing this with right now.

Heather Cruz Is arbonne safe on sensitive skin? My face breaks out easily if a moisturizer is too oily and will flake if a face wash doesn’t have enough..lol
Yes, our products work well with sensitive skin. I have extremely sensitive skin and the only products that I notice a slight reaction with are the RE9 Serum and the SeaSource Mud Mask. Jennifer Aufrecht Arce Does the shakes really work?
Yes, they can be used as meal replacements, or for people wanting to gain weight, you can add them to a meal for extra protein. Here is a video with some great testimonials. http://www.facebook.com/#!/video/video.php?v=1827229042966

Erin Bullis how quickly do you get your initial investment back?
It depends on the person. Some people choose to get it back their first month. The cost to start is $109. When you sign up, Arbonne gives you an option to Buy $350, Get $350 for free. Some will sell $350 and then pick $350 in free product for themselves. Others will sell $700 and place it under that order, so they get $350 of it for free, which means they made a $350 profit.

Jessica Gonzalez are there products for baby?
Yes, we have baby oil, baby hair & body wash, baby lotion, diaper rash creme, and baby sunscreen. The Baby line is called ABC which stands for Arbonne Baby Care. 🙂

Dayna Winge With a lot of people using cloth diapers, including myself, is the diaper rash cream cloth diaper safe?
The Diaper Rash Creme contains zinc to repel moisture, so it will build up in cloth diapers over time. A friend of mine sells cloth diapers and she uses a fleece liner in between the baby and the diaper. That keeps the creme on the baby and off the diaper so that she can still use a diaper rash creme that is free of petroleum ingredients.

Brittany Riley do you do anyhting to try to advertise? ive never heard of these products till recently
Arbonne doesn’t advertise in magazines, tv, etc. Most of our advertisement is word of mouth. By not paying for advertising, they are able to give more compensation to their consultants and put more money back into product development to keep creating new products that are superior. Personally, I do booths locally to advertise. At my booths, I have a drawing for a free chocolate spa party for them and 8 friends. That allows me to call up those who entered and book a party with them and their friends. I also use my Facebook page. My clients are really my best advertising though. Most people get compliments on their skin within weeks of switching to Arbonne’s skin care lines. They either send their friends to me to order, or they decide to become consultants themselves and their friends order through them. Either way it grows my business. 🙂

Cindy Pate Simpson whats your top seller?
The RE9 Advanced Anti-Aging Skin Care line. 🙂

Debra Diriwachter Do you have anything for dry skin thats also wont make me break out im prone to to breaking out besides dry skin
Arbonne’s products are mineral oil free, so don’t lead to breakouts like many other brands do. There is also a chance of breaking out when you switch skin care because you are cleaning the impurities out of the skin, but for those that do break out, it clears up in a week or two. We have 2 main skin care lines; RE9 Advanced is our Anti-Aging line and FC5 is our more basic line. Both have solutions for dry skin. 🙂

Brittany Riley is your product considered organic?
Arbonne does not use 100% organic ingredients because some of the ingredients are not available in an organic form. We do choose organic whenever it is available, and we have an organic farm in Switzerland where we grow the ingredients for our cosmetics. The beauty industry isn’t regulated like the food industry is, so even products that say natural or organic on their packaging aren’t always 100% organic. They just have to contain some ingredients that fit that qualification to be able to claim it. Arbonne has open ingredient sheets that are available to any client that wants to see them. https://arbonne.com/products/index.asp

Maddison Paige do you like giving stuff away and making your fans super happy?! 🙂
I do!!!

RuthieLynn Peach are the Citrus energy fizz tabs gluten free
Yes, the entire Essentials Line is Gluten Free. 🙂

Jessica Jardon Never tried arbonne before would like to though!

Lisa Mileo Ziegler What makes Arbonne stand out from all the rest like Mary Kay? What benefits do u get from using Arbonne?

Monique Combes Megan, my samples came! Thank you ♥ Will be trying them out tonight.
SO glad they made it! Can’t wait to hear what you think!!!

LaTanya Thornhill What is your fave Arbonne product that you use?
This is by far the toughest question. lol. For me, I would say my RE9 Advanced Skin Care Set, but if I have to pick just one product in the set it would be the Smoothing Facial Cleanser. Raymond Manduley do you use these products?
Yes, Arbonne is the only brand that we use. The only thing that isn’t Arbonne are our deodorant, toothpaste, etc because Arbonne doesn’t offer those.

Cindy Pate Simpson i could sure use this…you wanna give it to me…lol
I’d love too! Let’s hope random.org cooperates. lol

Liberty Druga How much is a starter kit and how much do you get for each sale? Meaning like 5%, 10%,?
The starter kit is $109. Some people will sign up and get their kit and then begin taking orders. Others who are on a strict budget will start collecting orders to pay for the starter kit. We make 35% commission on retail sales. We also make overrides on our team. The starting override is an extra 6%, then 8%, then 14%, then 17%, then 18%. It goes up at each level. The override is where Arbonne takes the $ of sales your team did and gives you a portion of Arbonne’s profit on those sales. It comes directly out of Arbonne’s pocket.

Alicia McMahon Does Arbonne have someplace where they show before and after photos of people using Arbonne products? (My sample came in today! Thanks!)
We used to have a ton, but since they redeveloped some of the lines last year, they haven’t built the library back up. There are some on this page: http://arbonne.com/RE9Advanced/  Click results and then clinical results. I had to come back and add this… I completely forgot that Arbonne has a video with results and testimonials. Here is the link. http://www.facebook.com/#!/video/video.php?v=1827229042966

Liberty Druga So how do people go about taking orders to pay for their first starter kit? Okay I know this is breaking the rule of asking more then one question but I am just interested in the start process. 🙂
I’m going to delete your comment so there isn’t a double entry, but wanted to make sure to answer your question. 🙂 Basically, we collect orders to pay for your sign up. When a new consultant signs up, Arbonne lets them purchase $350 in product and then pick out $350 in free product. Rena Ramirez What products can I use to help fade dark spots on my face?
The Revelage line works to get rid of dark spots, age spots, freckles, etc. It breaks up the pigmentation instead of bleaching the spot like many products.

Lacey Krentz My son, Hayden, has really sensitive dry skin. He gets dry patches on his face, especially around his eyes.(have been to dr) do you have any products that might help him?
The baby line works really well on eczema and dry patches. I normally recommend the wash and lotion. 🙂

Cindy Nájera Gutierrez What makes Arbonne the best product in your opinion?
Our ingredient policy. We only use the best ingredients and refuse to use fillers and products that aren’t beneficial. In the US beauty industry, that is pretty much unheard of.

Charlene Sheppard does Arbonne have perfume ingredients in the products or is the ingredients all natural?
We don’t use any artificial fragrance. For our full ingredient policy, check out this link: http://arbonne.com/products/index.asp

Belinda Banks-Gresham i have never heard of Arbonne, is it new? how does one become an Arbonne distributer?
Arbonne is a 31 year old Company that offers Swiss Formulated, Botanically based Skincare, Cosmetics, Nutrition, and Personal Care products that are pure, safe, and beneficial. Becoming a consultant is really simple. It’s basically just a signup form that you fill out and then paying the signup fee of $109. That gets you your starter kit, which has everything you need to start a business. If you read through the rest of the questions above, there is some more info. Also, at my site, on the Join Arbonne tab is a ton of info. http://www.megancurtis.myarbonne.com. The signup form is also linked there several times on the Join Arbonne Tab. 🙂

Dayna Winge Is Arbonne safe for young children?
Generally, yes. There are a few products that are for adults only. (Adult vitamins, hormone balancing cremes, anti-aging skin care). Most of the lines are perfectly fine for children though. We even have a special baby line and children’s vitamins. 😉

We offer skin care, baby care, cosmetics, bath & body care, spa, nutrition, and weight management products. All of our products are pure, safe, and beneficial. We are also botanically-based.
